News List Mantra programming language 1.0a1 release Terence Parr Thu Oct 4, 2007 19:07 If you're looking for a good example of how to build a real source-to-source translator with ANTLR+StringTemplate, Mantra is for you. It's not ready to use for building real projects, but it will be soon. Mantra (Hindi for "magical incantation") is a new dynamically-typed programming language that is syntactically similar to Java but with the flexibility and ease of programming of Ruby or Python. Mantra is not an interpreted language. Source code is translated to Java and so mantra programs integrate trivially with plain Java code. Announcing gUnit: Grammar Unit Testing Leon Su Tue Aug 14, 2007 16:35 gUnit is an unit testing framework for ANTLR grammars. It provides a simple way to write and run automated tests for grammars in a manner similar to what jUnit does for unit testing. The basic idea is to come up with a bunch of input/output pairs for rules in a grammar. The input can be a single line or multiple lines of strings or even an external file. The output can be simply success or failure, an abstract syntax tree (AST), a rule return value, or some text output. ANTLR v2 to v3 converter (version 0.1) Terence Parr Thu Oct 12, 2006 19:09 It converts two v2 ANTLR grammars from ANTLR v3 (antlr.g and antlr.print.g) syntactically, but I get lots of warnings...anyway, won't do trees in actions or anything, but it does some decent work for you. Does most of the grunt work I'd say. ANTLR v3 source repository browser Terence Parr Tue Oct 10, 2006 11:19 Source code browsing by FishEye (cenqua.com) ANTLR 3.0b4 released!
